Submissions are now open for the Claire Keyes Award for Undergraduate Poetry. This opportunity is open to all Salem State undergraduates. The award includes a $200 prize and publication in Sounding East, Salem State's literary journal. 

Please submit three pages of unpublished poetry (no more than one poem per page) to Kevin Carey / Coordinator of Creative Writing.

Submissions must be sent by email to: kcarey@salemstate.edu.

Please include CK AWARD in the subject line, the applicant’s class year, mailing address, telephone number and email address in the email itself and submit the poems in a single Word or PDF file. There should be nothing that identifies the author on the poems themselves. These will be read blind. Submissions that do not follow these guidelines will not be considered. 

All submissions must be received no later than Saturday, February 1 at 5 pm.
