There is no other exhibit quite like Outdoor Sculpture at Maudslay. This artist-organized event is egalitarian, intergenerational, public, and site-specific. No juror chooses the artworks. Anyone familiar with the exhibit parameters and our region is welcome to create.
During the exhibit’s first twenty-five years, over 340 artists, including professionals and those newer to artmaking, of all ages and racial and cultural backgrounds, have created more than 730 unique installations.
During the collective’s sabbatical year, the Winfisky Gallery celebrates Outdoor Sculpture at Maudslay with an extensive exhibition of highlights from 25 years of site-specific public art. In addition to the exhibition in the Winfisky Gallery, sculptures will be installed throughout the North Campus during the exhibition and will remain on view through fall 2025.
