Professor Keja Valens (English) Awarded Fulbright Fellowship

Dr. Valens has been awarded a Fulbright Fellowship for the Spring 2027 semester. Her Fulbright project “Guyanese Cassava Flour: 21st Century Production and Uses” builds on her expertise in Caribbean cookbooks and foodways and will take her to Guyana where she will be working with the University of Guyana’s Institute of Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship and Institute of Food Security to create a cookbook titled Guyana’s Cassava Flour Breads.
