Horace Mann Renovation Update
Window demolition beginning and masonry restoration continuing, including grinding brick joints using dust control measures. Interior brick sandblasting beginning this week and will continue through October.
Meier Hall Addition
Drillers will return to site to fracture some additional rock , helping to reduce the amount of hammering and noise disruption. Expect excavation and hammering to intermittently continue for the next four weeks. Concrete and steel work are anticipated to begin in mid-October. The goal is to have the foundation complete before winter.
Decarbonization Project Update
Mobilization for phase one of the geothermal drilling project has begun. Fencing was installed to close off the lower section of the College Drive parking lot (near Peabody Hall). Faculty and staff can still park in the upper section of this lot and in over 250 parking spaces reserved for them on the third and fourth floors of the North Campus Parking Garage.
