Meet the Mentors

My name is Nadia Robinson (she/her/hers) and I am a Senior at Salem State. I am majoring in Media and Communications with a minor in Theater Arts. I work on campus as a STEP Peer Mentor and a Building Manager for Student Involvement and Operations at the Ellison Campus Center. I am in the SSU Orchestra, and I LOVE all things music, especially Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Noah Kahan and so many more artists. I'm looking forward to this upcoming year!

Hello everyone! My name is Prabh Dalla and I am a senior in nursing with a double minor in biology and psychology. My pronouns are she/her/hers. Some of my interests are singing, dancing, traveling, watching shows and movies, keeping up with rugby, and much more. I joined STEP as a mentee in my freshman year and it truly helped me settle into the college life. My hopes are to guide my mentees in any way possible. I'm looking forward to this upcoming academic year!

My name is Andrew (he/him/his), and I am going to be a Junior here at SSU. I am an Art major and I'm minoring in education. A few things about me are that I'm big on painting, love costume design, music and I try my best to promote and be as environmentally friendly as possible. I had joined the step program last year so that I could get any necessary help when it came to settling in, academic plans and just have someone on campus to talk to. Overall, I found it useful and found myself making plans to do my work in those meetings then doing them. I'm excited to see what the upcoming year brings, and I hope to help as many people as possible on their journeys here.

I am majoring in nursing and have a minor in biology. I love being a part of STEP because as a first-generation student from Ukraine, I understand the challenges some first-gen students face, and I can relate. I take joy in helping others, which I carry through my job at STEP and my nursing journey. A fun fact about me is that I have a cat named Cooper.

My name is Benito Pedreira, I am a sophomore, and I am a theater major. I am a super-friendly, chill guy. I don't mind helping if you have a question

My name is Gianna Taormina (she/her). I am a sophomore with a Nursing Major. I love to dance in my free time with the Repertory Dance Theater club here at Salem State! I also love the beach, scary movies, and going out to eat. I joined STEP to help me through the transition into college, and now as a mentor I hope I can be of help in the same way that my mentor was. I’m looking forward to this year and meeting everyone!

I’m Olivia Davis (she/her/hers)! I am a sophomore majoring in biology with a concentration in marine biology and a minor in chemistry. When I am not in the lab studying red algae or at the rink playing hockey, I’m at the beach, a concert, or my friend’s dorm. I joined STEP to have a support system coming into college and hope as a mentor I can be a part of yours. I can’t wait for this year and to meet you all!

My name is Sean Robertson (he/him/his). I’m a biology major with a concentration in biomedical science and a chemistry minor. Outside of STEP, I am a Resident Assistant in Charlotte Forten Hall and part of the Desk Staff that welcomes residents. I enjoy taking walks outside, wearing cozy sweaters, drinking tea, spending time with friends, and I really love cats.I joined STEP to support myself in the transition from high school to university and the challenges of living independently. I am excited to support you all in your journeys this year!!
